Happy Summer #5: Free-flow Kopi O.

One of the best things about being at home is the endless nonstop forever and ever free-flow kopi O. AND it's FOC. 

Which brings me to my dilemma. I'm so tempted to head to Marine Parade Library today or any quiet cafe for some alone time but that means spending $ because Kopi from the outside world is pricey and I'm currently on my save-money-for-PH mission. So... nope. Stay at home day today it shall be!

Finally finished reading Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn this morning during breakfast -claps- I can't believe I can actually finish a book hahahaha it was a good book! And then proceeded to do nothing at all since then. It's 10.48am now and I decided to blog. 

I was supposed to be working this entire week, ad hoc saikang warrior job but there was some miscomm between the company itself and career consultant! Turns out I only get to work on Tuesday which is fine too haha. It was quite a chill job of packing and stacking and recording stocks of branded shoes (because the muscle ache only hits you the next day when you wake up haha) I'm amazed at how HIGH the heels can get and most of the time I'm even more amazed at the price tag. I just need to buy 2 pairs of shoes and my bank account will be instantly empty. Aeri was asking me the other day, wondering when will I ever put makeup and it's really a blocked image. Like it's censored. -Teh Teh- Add in the sound effects of censored images haha. Ah maybe on my wedding day if it ever happens. 

Wednesday was the bro's birthday! :D 23 is such an old number hahaha. Staffed ourselves at Swensen's and we had three ice cream desserts for just $9.90 muahahaha. Birthdays don't feel special to us oldies anymore, but at least it's an excuse for a good meal with the family heheh. 

And nowww it's time for me to embark on my second book! Or hunt a new show/drama! Let's go!!!

Change.

Some have been talking about how I've changed. But one fine day, Kim send me this.

Happy Summer #4: Food and Friends and NUAAA.

Favourite alone time at home ahhhhhh ^_^ Been watching The Return of Superman this daddy korean variety show all day all night and I cried like it was some tragic movie because some of the scenes were honestly too touching! :') While I was doing the :'') my brother has this permanent -.- look at me haha. OH! Have yet to watched the crazy sad movie hh told me about! Yay more dramas and shows and movies in the waiting list muahahaha. I got out of my pork floss craze (two large bottles in four days) and am now into egg omelette craze 'anyhow whack anyhow add' is the key to successful egg friends! >:)

Banned myself from expensive food because I've been spending money like water!!! You see:

Reason #1: Happy food = unhappy wallet

A happy tummy comes with a price to pay. PRICEY PRICEY MUCH PRICEY. 

Reason #2: Happy movie time = unhappy wallet.

Caught Spiders with wang, Godzilla with Lixin and Divergent with Tai and Tze. (DIVERGENT WAS THE BOMB!!!!!!!!)

Thereforeeee, it's time for ad hoc saikang warrior jobs haha! Applied for two before I fly to PH in mid-june!

Whoever invented three month long summer break - you are an angel sent from heaven <3 Enjoying life catching up with old buddies over meals, movies or just exploring around aimlessly because we have the time ahaha. Caught The Merchant of Venice at Fort Canning Park and it was so good I loved it! Am so proud of Egan as well, can't wait to see you on stage again! 

And now... I'm going to end this post. HAHAHA straight-forward and honest conclusion. With a random fact: I'm soooooo glad for my bro, can't imagine life as a single child in this family.

Dad to Father.

Today, I invited my father to my bro's birthday dinner three times throughout the day only to get a nil reply. And finally, he says he'll be there only if someone else pays for it. (nothing new: in twenty three years he has never, ever paid for any family meals) 

I asked him why did he want to be a dad. 

He said, he didn't.

And with that,

Today, I lost a dad. 

Happy Summer #3: Aeri Love.

I love how time doesn't matter, how we can always catch up on our lives like it was yesterday, how we're constantly on the same page and how much my friends can always, always make my day.

Today has been the best Monday so far since holidays started, but I guess every Monday's gna be awesome from now onwards: completely stress-free Mondays with no seminars, no lectures, no assignments, nothingggg muahahaha. Headed back to CAPT to because O$P$ hahaha then made my way down to Lavender to collect my brand new passport! Flipping through my old passport, it has accompanied me faithfully to India, Vietnam, Msia, Cambodia, Indonesia, Taiwan... :') All the good old memories. Can't wait for more adventures!

Finally met up with my amazing girl yesterday and it was a good day with good company and good food hehe. Flew up to heaven after this matcha goodness from Social Square:

Had a great catch up updating our data bases about each other, our lives in general and anything under the sun :') I know I'm gna miss this woman when she leaves but it's comforting knowing that she'll be back. Crazy how we're alike in so many ways haha love, much. 

Happy Summer #2: Mother's Day!

One of the best things of summer is falling asleep unknowingly while watching dramas in bed and then waking up without any alarm clocks :')

 

Dang dang dang dang!!! Today marks my very first stress-free Saturday since finals ended! So awesome so happy this needs a standing ovation ahahha. Woke up just in time and fed our tummies with a hearty breakfast at Swensen's! First time at the newly renovated Bedok Mall and there are soooooo much good food there I want to gobble them down all so badly but I was too full to do that, sadly. BEDOK. MALL. WAIT. FOR. ME. I. WILL. BE. BACK.

Been such a long time since I last shopped around with mum and bro hehe. But my happiest buy of the day has got to be... PORK FLOSS *v* Non-stop munching since purchase hahaha, got one too for huihan just in case she misses singapore food while in France. HH, if you see this, I'm gna repeat myself: Take care and have an awesome time! I'm all ready to hear a full update of your adventures when you get back! :)

Packing my summer full with meetups with friends and family time before Philippine happens! Tomorrow's going to be yet another happy day :)

Happy Summer #1: The Beginning!

Shall blog everytime I'm happy this summer and let's see how many # it can accumulate up to whee!!! Officially welcomed the start of summer with a late night trip to B&J with the bestie after her last paper! Shops were closing and we walked so fast any faster we were going to start running already hahaha. This cone of coffee goodness wah siao super good! *v*



There must be many ice cream friends rolling around making friends in my stomach because...



Hahahaha finally a day of chilling and nuaing and flopping around at home. Woke at 5am to cook a mother's day breakfast, I wanted to make some jap egg rolls so that when I cut them diagonally and turn it around they can form a heart shape but... didn't really work so I ended up with a long egg pillow and drew hearts on it with garlic chili instead HAHAHA. 谁积应变 GOOD GOOD. So after 5am... I woke again at 7+, had my breakfast and then slept and woke again at 11, and did the same thing again and officially woke at 2+pm hahaha. Waited for ice cream uncle to arrive at around late evening time, he said "今天你第一个"!! Hahaha punctuality is a must when it comes to my fav ice cream in the world!!! So glad to be back in the east, so glad to be back in this neighbourhood with the people and the food :')

And now... to nua the night away let's go! :D

Returning home.

A few sad symptoms of school overdose, (which means I haven't been home for quite a while...):
Today dad passed me the keys to unlock the gate and instead of opening it... I locked it. And I opened the tea cabinet which I thought was the medicine cabinet. And the saddest saddest thing of all. I see new additions to the fridge and the cardboard. Not food though... I see needles and insulin, I see things that tell me how medicine doesn't work anymore. I see ageing. I see deterioration. And I'm scared.

Please don't do this to my dad.
