Safe and Sound.

I really love Jayesslee's cover of Safe and Sound, especially the acoustic guitar. Forever inspiring me to learn acoustic, but I... know my limits: P.S. My hidden talent is SO WELL HIDDEN it's taking quite a while for me to discover it hahaha.

Today is a simple and nice day I love it. Sadness is minimal, happiness is many many! :-)
(Mum bought a bakery home as usual, but my bro and I already told her not to beforehand, so I wasn't that guilty not touching the bakery... We tried out best to communicate, rlly.) Woke at a much later timing today 8.30? Hahaha compared to my auto-body-clock of 7.40, yay! Big breakfast at Paya Lebar Square's Macs with Tze and Yuhua before our yoga and we laughed until stomach pain laughed until cannot breathe laughed until public nuisance. Crazy trio. Laughing doesn't stop at yoga lesson because the instructor asked us to do some insane thing and we tried to do the insane thing and I couldn't stop laughing. And when I can't stop, the laughing bug gets to YH and he couldn't stop too hahaha. Got whacked by Tze with her towel. Did the headstand thing to end off the class whoohoo lagi shiok.

Now playing "Try" and the lyrics goes "Just because it burns, doesn't mean you're gna die. You gotta get up and try, and try and try." :-)

Simple things and a simple day with my simple friends... 简简单单的,真好。Thankful for all of my buddies who stuck around me what do I do without y'all <3

我,难过。

If I see myself through the eyes of my friends, I see someone trying so hard to (pretend to) be happy.

It's scary how friends can see you through like x-ray and read you like a book. Met up with old friends and was told that they see someone trying to hold things in. They see a really sad pearl deep down haha and I got to admit it. It's true. It's scary, but true.

Been trying to avoid many problems but after some self-reflection and long night talk with the bro, I'm not going to let this get me down.

3.40am now, long night.

後來, 你好嗎?

Quite exciting to find out how's everyone in ten years' time.

Just got back from a nua session at HH's, so glad she's back, it has been quite a long while! Whoosh time flew past. The previous time before HH left I didn't even get my phone cover, but HH commented that I finally got one just now hahaha but this cover is more than cui now already. One sem worth of cui-ness. So nice stalking her really pretty pictures from exchange too, life seem very fulfilling and nice :-) On an evil selfish sidenote... YAY HH IS BACK I HAVE FRIENDS IN SCHOOL NOW HAHAHA. My very mini pool of friends in school.

後來, 你好嗎?... is also a question for myself in a few years' time. So tough making life decisions but I made mine quite a long time back but I realized my family is far from accepting it yet.

Recently, my mum asked me (in the disapproving tone, unfortunately) why did I choose to work in childcare... My auntie asked me why don't NUS have internship opportunities...

I was honestly quite upset because my family obviously know WHY I want to do this so it was really an unnecessary question. Hmm but I concluded these questions and disapproval are obstacles for me to prove my love. Machiam lika love story, I needa pass the 坏人/第三者 stage to get my true love!!!

What's Enough.

怎么办。
I keep dreaming of bigger dreams and I can't stop, it's really hard to learn the art of 知足 :(
It's not even like we're rich or what but I just keep on spending whatever mum earns. There's already Indonesia x2, Cambodia, Taiwan, India, Philippines... But I want to pack my bag and leave for (ranked in order of love)

#1. North Africa (CAMEL LOVE. Shall put the link of the guide here for future reference LOL I actually finished researching about Morocco https://instagram.com/moroccowithyoussef)
#2. South Africa (Wanted to go for summer school, but siao cannot afford la, too long a duration. Ah but I also don't wna study there, I just walk explore and hobo around)
#3. Midde East (NUS STEER is going this Dec, am praying hard it doesn't clash with Cambodia)

3 places to go before I die, please.

AND THE WORST PART IS THE LIST DOESN'T END. I really really really don't mind heading to

#4. Nepal (Beautiful mountains pls)
#5. Thailand (For the food. PAD THAI. And the cheap clothes pls.)
#6. Hong Kong (Lika second Singapore actually ah but I think the streets are really unique)

Ah but dreams are dreams, glad I'm still young and alive so the probability of dreams becoming a reality is a little higher haha. Meanwhile, smile and wave to life guys. Like these happy children who smiled and waved to me in India :)

ON REPLAY.

Hey, once upon a younger year
When all our shadows disappeared
The animals inside came out to play
Hey, when face to face with all our fears
Learned our lessons through the tears
Made memories we knew would never fade
One day my father—he told me,
"Son, don't let it slip away"
He took me in his arms, I heard him say,
"When you get older
Your wild life will live for younger days
Think of me if ever you're afraid."
He said, "One day you'll leave this world behind
So live a life you will remember."
My father told me when I was just a child
These are the nights that never die
My father told me
When thunder clouds start pouring down
Light a fire they can't put out
Carve your name into those shinning stars
He said, "Go venture far beyond the shores.
Don't forsake this life of yours.
I'll guide you home no matter where you are."
One day my father—he told me,
"Son, don't let it slip away."
When I was just a kid I heard him say,
"When you get older
Your wild life will live for younger days
Think of me if ever you're afraid."
He said, "One day you'll leave this world behind
So live a life you will remember."
My father told me when I was just a child
These are the nights that never die
My father told me
These are the nights that never die
My father told me

Love the lyrics a lot.

Mt Rinjani.

6th May 2015 - 10th May 2015

When Finals ended (badly ahaha, but nvm tried my best so yay it's over!) on the 4th of May, I headed back to CAPT for the last time ever as a CAPTain. Had lunch with ROC and packed my room for the last time too :'( Had a really sad goodbye at the lobby, my dear ROCkers accompanied and sent me off even though they are not even done with finals </3 And my auntie Christine cried aiyo my heart broke la pls. I'll be back to visit I promise!

Spent my first day of freedom 5th May walking around Vivo with tze, we were supposed to go to SEA Aquarium but didn't bring along the compulsory card so it's okay! Ended up in Vivo shopping for a friends' gift and doing our own shopping for wet tissues etc for the trip too.

And then zoom zoom zoom time flew and 6th of May came!!! VERY VERY VERY EXCITED. It was an early flight so we all woke before the sun rose. Tadah! Here's us before checking in:

Us and our happy faces with zero muscle aches and full of energy gogogo! :D

But dangdangdangdanggg, Day 1 didn't really start off well HAHAHA we ended up doing a full tour of all of indo's airports, because we missed our second domestic flight (and rlly... they didn't annouce it at all leh). We were hobo-ing and ready and waiting for the flight when Jon decided to ask how long is it gna be delayed but NAH THE PLANE TOOK OFF. Sad :-( Leaving without us. Without annoucements/ or even last calls. Haiz. So that means more $ gone because we had to rebook another flight again! Thankfully it didn't affect our climb schedule! After travelling in the skies, we headed to travel on the road in a taxi and finally in the waters haha most local way of transport, in a slow slow slow ferry.

Day 2: IT BEGINS!!!

THE ONLY WAY TO GO IS UP. UP. UP. NON-STOP UP. The mountain didn't have much flat ground so we were rlly going uphill most of the time + I always thought I couldn't rock climb but this natural rock climb forced me to LOL. Very soon our legs started aching. But Day 1 was considered alright, the view of lots of greens and awesome skies and trees made everything so pretty :-)

Us during Lunch Break! Woahhh the food was really sedap sedap! Thankful for our porters and guides, I have FULL respect for them amazing people. We continued trekking uphill and uphill and uphill until we reached our campsite! HAD ANOTHER AMAZING MEAL OF GREEN CURRY FOR DINNER IT WAS HEAVEN, before we headed to bed really early, around 9+pm? But that's because we woke really early too at 1.30am hahaha it is time to conquer the summit!!!

Which was the most epic climb I ever did in my short human life of 21 years. CRAZY EPIC SHIT HAHAHA. Highest level of suan in the legs, plus the stones and rocks were really slippery haha yay I'm still alive. Joey told me before the climb that it was two steps up, one step down and hahaha that's nth but the truth. To keep going up you had to keep moving because any moment when you stop or give up you slide downwards. Woah lika life lesson hor? Philosophical max. Our kind guides ended up holding our hands and dragging us up at the Summit Push xiexienimen :-) We managed to catch a really really really beautiful sunrise too ahhhh things I'll never forget. And indo's nightsky is the best. Endless stars and SIAO I SAW A SHOOTING STAR EPIC EPIC EPIC *v*

FINALLY: WE DID IT :')

The really cold 5 deg summit!!! The wind was WHOOSH my four layers didn't feel like four layers and I used socks for my pig trotters:

And for the first time beer tasted rlly good up there hahaha timo brought his fav beer up:

Alamak but who goes up must come down. Which equals to... more shagness hahaha. I disliked going down even though it was easier haha. Because... I realized I have this fear of heights/falling down, esp when carrying a 7kg bag it feels like you're going to fall forward and roll down the whole mountain anytime hahaha. So... I SLIDE. My poor shoes I love </3 the soles are probably all gone hahaha. Basically I was the burden when going down I'm so sorry my friends, thank you so much Jon/Timo/Joey for guiding me down and taking care of tze and I, you guys are the best!

This was us when we were almostttt but really not that near the end hahaha.

The last day was a really rushed one because WE GOT A PLANE TO CATCH. Chiong chiong chiong! Set off at 6+am = more going down = more of me as a burden = EXTREME happiness when we actually reached base camp again. Omg it was a really long journey going down the mountain, followed by the jungle, with all our toes/legs/feet in pain. At the last part of the trek my legs were giving way already hahaha I fell so many times because they were just trembling like jellies. Like my mind says go but my legs say no hahaha.

Heheh dirty us finally got to bathe FOR THE FIRST TIME in THREE days HAHAHA I EMPTIED MY WHOLE BOTTLE OF SOAP I brought there LOL spam it man. Had been powder bathing all the time. And then it was back to travelling: Taxi > Ferry> Taxi> Airport!

Us on top of the ferry where we fell asleep under the night skies. Sounds lika romantic hor but of cos it didn't last because I woke up to crazy chilly cold wind slapping my whole body awake hahahaha BUAY TAHAN. So we went down again for about half an hour before we finally reached! :-)

More hobo-ing at the airport before it's home sweet home again. Five epic days I'll remember for life, thankful for my travel buddies too (am still embarrassed of my current walking speed because of lame legs). More to come my friends, like what we promised,

This is only the beginning :-)

Still Alive.

HELLO.

I haven't been in here for SO LONG it took me three tries to sign in hahaha I almost forgot my password. I'm finally back here again because I refuse to do workkk.

E-Learning week is officially ending today and it has been a really fulfiling and busy week! This sem is awesome it truly lives up to my motto of 开心就好, like... how I gave up doing useless class part because I couldn't see how whatever I say can add value to the class. That's throwing 30% out of the window but if I don't throw it what else can I do LOL. Worst example of a biz student ever ahaha.

Recently been outdoors exploring like a Dora heheh! Spent last Sunday at ECP with ROC Easties and last Thursday at Green Corridor near Bukit Timah! So nice to avoid concrete jungles for the whole morning and walk on grass for a long long while and swing on swings and just stone/chill around. We went past old DHS!!! :') MUCH MEMORIES AND MUCH LOVE FOR THIS PLACE. There was this happy doggy swimming around it makes me so happy! Haven't been cycling for a long long while too (hh are you reading this, I am booking you for cycling trip when you get backkk) it was a nice time despite the rain!

Had a really cool and heartwarming experience under this Patient Transport System bringing a really cute ah ma to NUH. She makes me miss my granny so much so cute how she held my hands warmly even though we just met a while ago :')

ENDING THIS POST WITH CUTIE CUTIE HAPPY AH MA!
